Studio7 Designs is a small, local business based in St. John's, NL. We’re all about creating pieces that feel like you—whether that means bringing an idea you’ve had in your head to life or simply making something that fits you exactly the way you want it to.

We offer free custom sizing because bodies aren’t one-size-fits-all, and your clothes shouldn’t be either. With a wide selection of fabrics and plenty of room to personalize your piece, we want you to feel involved in the process and excited about what we’re making together.

Everything we make is made to order. We don’t believe in making piles of clothing that may never be worn. Instead, we make each piece when it’s ordered, which means less waste and more time to focus on making it well. We care about where and how our clothes are made, and we believe in choosing quality, thoughtful production over the fast-fashion cycle.

At the end of the day, we just want you to love your clothes, to make getting dressed fun, and for the pieces you buy from us to be ones you reach for again and again.

How we Operate

Custom Dress

At Studio7 Designs, the custom dressmaking process begins with your vision. Whether you have a specific design in mind or need guidance, we start by discussing your ideas, preferences, and any inspiration you may have at a free consultation. We also have plenty of dresses that can be tried on to help with this process. Next, we take precise measurements to ensure a perfect fit. You’ll then choose from our wide variety of high-quality fabrics, allowing you to personalize every detail, from texture to color. Once the design is finalized you will receive a final price quote. If you decide to continue with Studio7, we then require a 50% deposit. Once the deposit is received, we guarantee no one going to your event will be able to choose the same fabric or design. Finally, after careful crafting, fittings, and any adjustments needed, you’ll receive a one-of-a-kind piece made exclusively for you—designed to fit your body and bring your style to life.

Custom Tops, Skirts, etc.

Much like our custom dress process we start with a free consultation where we will discuss exactly what you’re looking for, take your measurements and provide you with a final price quote. Unlike our dress making process we do not require a 50% deposit but we do require it be paid in full before we begin crafting your garment(s). We allow unlimited alterations to ensure you leave completely satisfied. This process typically takes about 1-2 weeks to complete.

Made to Order

All of our products are made to order, meaning we focus on quality, sustainability, and most importantly personalization. There are 2 ways to place an order- 

  • Through our online store-front which can be accessed through insta shop or by URL (www.studiosevendesigns.ca).
  • Through instagram DMs; simply send us a message @_studio7designs with the product you’re interested in, your size, and colour preference! This option allows for a more personalization since we will send you all of the colours we have in stock and not just the ones listed online!
